Facility Description

The state-of-the-art transit facility at Noosa Junction was built over a eleven-month period between October and August 2011. The facility is complex in design and construction and is an iconic facility for the Sunshine Coast.

The project comprises of:

• Two large covered bus platforms (44m and 65m in length)
• Information pod and amenities facilities
• Shade pod and seating
• Stair pod with lockers under
• Arbor walkway and external seating
• Driver’s amenities and lunch facilities
• Reconfiguration of adjacent public car parking

Facility Description

The state-of-the-art bus interchange at the University of the Sunshine Coast was built over a four-month period between February and May 2009. The interchange is the second-biggest facility of its kind on the Sunshine Coast behind the bus interchange at Sunshine Plaza.

• Driver’s amenities and lunch facilities
• A green link transit corridor between USC and Scholars Drive

Facility Description

The Park Ridge ‘Park n Ride’ facility is part of Translinks roll out of new facilities throughout South east Queensland. The transit centre was built over a five-month period between February and June 2010. The facility will be accessible from a new service road and feature 200 car parking spaces, eight motorcycle parking spaces and four disabled bays located close to the bus platform. There will also be a kiss ‘n’ ride and taxi rank area for people being dropped off or picked up. The design also includes a secure bike enclosure that can accommodate about 20 bikes. Construction is scheduled to be completed by June 2010
